Art glass vase signed Le Verre Francais, Foxglove design, 13” in height.
A magnificent Le Verre Francais Cameo Glass Vase was made by Charles Schneider, inscribed at the top of the base "Le Verre Francais" and has "France" acid etched on it’s underneath. This 13" tall vase is carved in the gorgeous foxglove design which shades from a mottled orange/red to a mottled oxblood red. The scarlet coloured foxgloves are carved on a mottled pink and white background. The diameter of the base is 4" and the top is 3 1/2".
After training with the famous glass-houses Daum and Galle, Charles Schneider started a glass business called Cristallerie Schneider in 1913. Le Verre Francais which literally translates as French Glass was the name Schneider gave to the stylized cameo glass line which was influenced by Galle.
